How to live stream a church service.

A reliable Sunday stream comes down to four things: a camera that reaches the pulpit, a way into the computer, the sound from your mixer, and a stable upload. Here's how to put them together.

1. The camera

A PTZ camera at the back of the church, with presets for the pulpit, the choir and a wide shot, is easier for volunteers than a camcorder on a tripod. Pick the zoom from the distance (see our zoom guide).

2. Into the computer

One camera: a USB camera or an HDMI capture card. Two or more: a video switcher that cuts between them, or NDI cameras run from OBS or vMix.

3. The sound

Take a feed from your mixer (aux or a spare output) into the capture card, switcher or computer. Room microphones on the camera sound distant and echoey; the mixer feed is what makes a stream listenable.

4. Going live

OBS is free and streams to Facebook and YouTube. Use a wired internet connection, and test 30 minutes before the service. An upload of 10 Mbps or more is comfortable for 1080p.

Paano mag-live stream ng misa o service (Tagalog)
